November WordQuest

November is writing season for the Club Crouton family! Every November, I try to write a story that’s 50,000 words long. Over the years, some other writers have joined me on this adventure, including some of my favorite kids. You know who you are!

This year, we have a special tool to help us on our writing adventures: Noah’s Starcruiser! It’s a writing game where you get to explore the universe while writing your own story. You’ll travel to a far-off planet, rescue endangered animals, and face some crazy adventures along the way. Think Noah’s Ark… but in SPACE!

Ready to launch your story?

  1. Click the link below to board Noah’s Starcruiser.
  2. Give your Starcruiser a name (the title of your story) and choose your writing goal. How many words do you want to write?
  3. Start writing! Each time you write, enter your updated word count and watch your progress with Commander Noah.

How big should your goal be? That’s up to you! If you want to write 50,000 words in November, that’s about 1,667 words a day. If you set a goal of 3,000 words, you’ll need to write about 100 words a day. Choose a goal that you can reach, but make it a little challenging, too!

You can update your word count after each writing session or several times throughout the day. Every word brings you one step closer to your destination!

Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to set a goal, have fun, and see how far your imagination can take you.

Ready, Adventurer? Your story awaits among the stars!
